Hyacinth Removal

Hyacinth, Hyacinth, everywhere Hyacinth. This Irrigation District was faced with the daunting task of removing Hyacinth from their water prior to their pumps. For years this district handled their Hyacinth problem literally by hand. They would have 2 or 3 employees raking the trash racks for hours at a time removing the Hyacinth other vegetative growth, and trash, such as used tires, cola bottles etc...
Then they contacted International Water Screens and had us design manufacture and install a Traveling Screen and conveyor system to handle the Hyacinth problem. The district also had IWS design and build a Trash rack (for redundancy) and panels to cover the remainder of the pump inlet structure.

8 weeks after our first meeting with the district, a Hyacinth and debris removal system was installed and operating.
